Future Artist???

Ok, you start out with a bit of paint and a clean canvas...

Then you work, pausing to think about your next stroke.

After a bit you sit on your work and put your paint fingers in your hair...helps to give you new and better ideas for future works.

Then you smile the cutest smile at your mommy.

Finally!!! The artist must pose for his own masterpiece!

Happy Summer

Yes, we have a walker...albeit one that looks like Frankenstein! Sawyer is absolutely 100% BOY. He loves runnin around Pop and Mim's farm nekid!

When he was around 8 months old his PawPaw (Joseph's Grandfather) gave him his first taste of ice cream. He is now OBSESSED with it!

"Peaches and Cream" sweet corn from our garden is sure tasty...and messy when 15 month olds get a hold of it!

Sawyer's buddy, Patrick O'Reilly, came over for dinner and to play!

One way to cool off in the hot summer is to play with your water table. Thanks Uncle Danny and Aunt Kathy!

Again, this boy is OBESSED with ice cream.

Sawyer had a BLAST visiting his cousins, Benjamin Harris and Stephen Louis Knight, in Mississippi for the 4th!

He also enjoyed playing with Charli too!

Watermelons and Caribbean Sunshine

June has been very busy yet relaxing at the same time. Sawyer has enjoyed piggin out on tasty watermelons and fresh vegetables from our garden. Laura and I slipped off for a few days and headed down to the Bahamas to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We are back now and so excited to take part in the timeless southern ritual of sweating from dawn to dusk with the good ol heat and humidity.
Yummy Yummy !

We sailed on Royal Caribbean. Had a blast!

This is what I spent most of the day Sunday looking at.

We stopped by Atlantis while visiting Nassau.

Nothing behind Laura but churning water and the Atlantic.

ALL of our dinners were WONDERFUL! I asked Laura when we went in Jim Bob's to eat last night if she thought the Maitre d' would seat us at a "good" table! For those of you who don't know, Jim Bob's is a chicken finger joint in Opelika. It has been tough fixing our own meals the past few days....

As the sun sets on our trip we reflect on the past five years and are prayerful for MANY more!

Birthday Week

Mama Ann and I took Mommy out to Amsterdam Cafe for a birthday lunch early this week.
Mommy's favorite birthday treat is a stack of "silver dollar" sized pancakes equal to the amount of years she turns. Novel idea, but getting to be more and more!

Daddy and I took her out to Provino's for a birthday dinner. Happy Birthday Mommy. We love you!
Tuesday was primary day here in Alabama. Sawyer helped me out at the polls.

This boy LOVES to sit on ANYHTING and pretend he is driving.

Our garden is GROWING! We are full of squash and cucumbers. The beans and two varieties of sweet corn will be ready in a few days. Okra and watermelons are getting ready. There are also tomatos, zuchinni, and eggplant on the way. There is a lot of "beba bulls", Sawyer for vegetables, in this 600 sq ft garden.

Along with vegetables in the humid Alabama summer you can always count on "Mr. No-Shoulders". This Marvyn Cottonmouth decided to smile for Laura when she stopped to take his picture. She shot him with her camera ... I shot him with my 38!

The Month of May in Pictures

This is a picture of our garden around the middle of the month. You should see it today. Hope folks like squash, cucumbers, sweet corn, okra, beans, and watermelons cause they are coming!

We went to visit Grandma!

I really enjoyed playing with my cousin Parker.

No Daddy isn't getting ANOTHER bird dog. He and Mommy just took me to play with some puppies. They are our German Shorthair's nieces and nephews!

Playing with my water table on hot days is FUN!

I also like playing in my Birthday suit!

We went to Birmingham to spend the day with Aunt Mal. I was enjoying her sharing her yogurt with me until I got REALLY REALLY sleepy.

We went for my first trip to the zoo. I had a blast looking AND talking to all of the animals. I was under the impression that EVERYTHING there were dogs! The monkeys were funny and I LOVED getting to feed the giraffes!

Here kitty kity.....

It came a shower while we were there, but don't worry, I had my trusty frog raincoat.

Mommy and Daddy had fun with me. Notice me. I am looking at the pink flamingos....DOGS!

We closed out the month on Memorial Day. Daddy and I talked about the flag and how we should remember ALL of the men and women who have given their lives so that we can freely worship our God and live in this great country! See you in June!

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. The weather here was great and time spent with family was fun!
