Home! Sawyer is wearing his Pop's (Joe Capps) gown and booties that he wore home in 1953. This picture is by a native azalea that I transplanted from Laura's family land in Marvyn. This is in memory of Sawyer's Papa Steve. I know he would be proud of his new grandson (number 6!).

Sawyer is peaking out of his cradle that Mr. Jimmy Dial made. Brief history: Laura's Daddy had the tree that this is made from sawn into lumber and Mr. Jimmy made it into 4 cradles fashioned from the "Westville" style cradle, 1800's, for the three Parkman girls and Mama Ann. Sadly both Jimmy and Steve have passed on, but I know that they are keeping up with the use of these cradles from Heaven!

Clean diaper!! This is the only outfit (from the Carl and Kalee Vernon) that truly fits him at this point. I know, I know he is about to grow up quick.

Sawyer Parkman Capps

Sawyer arrived at 3:15 cst weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20 inches long. Both Laura and Sawyer are doing GREAT. We truly praise our Lord for this wonderful gift. Please continue to keep both Mommy and baby in your prayers. I will keep you posted with pictures as the week progresses. Thank you Jesus for your gift of life! ~Joseph

Latest OB Visit

Laura's OB visit went well yesterday. She is 3cm dialated and 75% effaced. Dr. Alverson said that she could go into labor any day now. He scheduled her for 7am on Tuesday the 24th to be induced, if he hasn't come before then. It is exciting to know that within 11 days we will meet our son. Please continue to keep Laura and Sawyer in your prayers. I have had severe body aches the past 48 hours and when I went to the doctor this morning, I had a fever of 102. Pray the Laura does NOT get this. Take Care and GOD BLESS!
