Christmas 2009

Sawyer had a blast during his first Chrsitmas....at least we suspect that he did! Christmas Eve was spent at Joseph's MawMaw and PawPaw's with Mrs. Kim's side of the family in Smiths Station, Christmas morning at our house in Opelika, then on to Mim and Pop's in Marvyn, and then on to Abbeville with Mr. Joe's side of the family. We closed out the evening at Mama Ann's in Seale! Even with ALL of the traveling we had a WONDERFUL time with family and look forward to a healthy and Happy New Year!
Sawyer...I mean Santa...greets everyone @ MawMaw &PawPaw's house.

The best thing about your first Christmas....you get to taste ALL of your presents before you open them.

At Joseph's Grandparents.

Paw Paw LOVES his Great-Grandson!

How many Aunts does it take to change a 9 month old?

Sawyer delivers Mommy's gifts to her on Christmas morning...by TASTING them prior to her opening them.
This little fella was ready to open his gifts on Christmas morning.

SANTA CAME!!!!!!

What to do with all of this STUFF!

Sawyer LOVES his new truck from MawMaw & PawPaw.

At Mim and Pop's on Christmas morning.

His most cherished gift was the L.L. Bean cardboard box that one of Pop's gifts came in!

Sawyer spending some time with his Great Grandma in Abbeville.

Then on to Mama Ann's Christmas night with the Smith family.

Kinda curious why I'm wearing yet another outfit and sitting by a pot for a picture!

Mama Ann had a different twist on Christmas dinner. We had pecan crusted Tilapia and shrimp cocktails. WONDERFUL!!!!!!!

December...So Far

While at Christmas in a Railroad Town (Downtown Opelika) Sawyer got to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus for the first time.

Laura and Sawyer in front of Opelika's Christmas Tree.

In front of our tree. Sawyer has his own "little person" tree in his room decorated with ornaments from his parent's first Christmas.

He loves to stand up by holding on to his kitchen set.

This little boy is growing up.

Gun season opened on the 21st, gotta have the camo!

It's @ Mama Ann's, did you expect anything less?

I think this was an indication of how he will act when we tell him we are going to Disney for the 1st time!

Chile

I was in southern Chile this past week setting up a mission trip for our church to work with Trent and Angel Tomlinson among the Mapuche Indians. I had a great time getting to know them. They have such a heart for this people group. Pray that the Glory of God will be revealed among the Mapuche through the hard work of the Tomlinsons. Some photos of the trip below...more to come.
